Aashi Chhabra, PsyD

I am a post-doctoral fellow working under the supervision of Dr. Kat Tolstikova while pursuing licensure in Massachusetts. My doctorate in clinical psychology is from William James College, where I completed a concentration in Asian Mental Health.

My clinical focus is psychological and neuropsychological assessment with adolescents and adults, ages 14–60. I have experience conducting comprehensive evaluations for cognitive, emotional, developmental, and diagnostic concerns. These include ADHD, autism, learning differences, executive functioning challenges, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and complex diagnostic presentations.

Culturally responsive assessment and diagnostic clarification are areas of particular interest to me. People, in my view, cannot be fully understood outside of their cultural, familial, developmental, and social contexts. In my work, I strive to understand each client as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms. I aim to provide evaluations that are thoughtful, collaborative, and practical.

My goal is for clients and families to leave the neuropsychological assessment process with a clearer understanding of themselves. They also leave with meaningful recommendations that support growth, self-advocacy, and next steps. Creating an evaluation experience that feels warm, respectful, and affirming is a priority. Clients should feel seen, understood, and empowered throughout the process.
