Ellen Ijebor, PhD
I view my work through a trauma informed and culturally responsive lens and am committed to providing a supportive and inclusive assessment experience for my clients. Prior to this, I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology and a Minor in Integrated behavioral health from New Mexico State University. During my doctoral training, I provided psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a range of cognitive and emotional needs to determine eligibility for state disability support services.
Further, I was trained at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine, where I provided N648 evaluations for citizenship applicants and psychological assessments for those seeking gender affirming care. Overall my training has focused on culturally responsive approaches to individual therapy, group therapy, and assessment work with diverse individuals in community mental health, university counseling, and medical centers.
