Linda believes in treating the “whole” person, aware that our past influences the present, and we can facilitate change in our lives when we are ready. She applies a Cognitive Behavioral approach, incorporating strategies from Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and Family Systems, based on the developmental stage and the needs of the client. Linda believes it is important for us to understand factors that have contributed to symptoms and concerns, and helping people gain insight is key to her work. In her practice, she addresses adjustment to life’s challenges, parenting concerns, parenting education, relationship concerns, developmental concerns, grief, depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and PTSD.
Linda is the author of a book entitled Parenting Across the Life Span (Powers, 2018). The book is based on her belief that parenting is a career with continually changing roles, and an understanding of the developmental stages is helpful in traveling this journey.
